“Blink Twice” (R, Mystery/Thriller): Picture this—you’re a cocktail waitress, and a tech billionaire (because, of course) invites you to his private island. Sounds like a dream, right? Well, not so fast! Frida quickly realizes that paradise has its price when things start getting seriously weird. Is it all in her head, or is she trapped in a billionaire’s twisted reality? Featuring Channing Tatum, Naomi Ackie, and Christian Slater. Tomatometer: 80%—so it’s probably as good as it sounds!
“The Crow” (R, Action/Fantasy): Love, loss, and a whole lot of vengeance. Eric and Shelly’s love story takes a tragic turn when they’re brutally murdered—but death isn’t the end. Eric gets a second chance to save Shelly, but it comes with a cost. Think dark, gritty, and haunting, starring Bill Skarsgård and FKA twigs. It’s still too fresh for a Tomatometer rating, but who needs that when you’ve got a revenge-seeking hero rising from the dead?
“The Forge” (PG, Drama): High school is over, and Isaiah has no clue what to do next—sound familiar? This drama follows his journey to figuring out life, with a little help from some wise mentors. Starring Karen Abercrombie and Priscilla C. Shirer, it’s a heartwarming watch that might just inspire you to get your life together too. No Tomatometer rating yet, but it’s got that feel-good vibe written all over it.
