Open Letter To Parents At The Beginning Of School

As the new school year unfolds, I wanted to take a moment to shine a light on those of you with kids. When I see the social media pictures of your little ones on their first day of school wearing their fresh outfits and holding their signs with so much pride about the grade they are entering and who their teacher is I can’t help but think of the immeasurable work by YOU that was put into preparing them for another year.

The hustle of shopping for supplies, organizing schedules, and ensuring that everything is just right. Parents juggle a multitude of tasks like filling the backpacks and having conversations about school anxiety, friendships, and what to get passionate about in this next year of education.

As summer gracefully transitions into fall, we understand the bittersweet feelings that come with sending children off to school. The carefree days of summer, filled with laughter and adventure that most likely flew by with it’s pros and cons that has to transition to the more structured routine of the school year. I can’t imagine the emotions of sending your kid out into the world without your hand to guide them through out the day.

Sending love to the parents who are up to prepare breakfast, patiently remind their children of what to bring, and stand tall holding back tears at the bus stop, waving goodbye.

Your efforts do not go unnoticed! Here’s to a year of growth, learning, and cherished memories, made possible because of you.
